The staff here at Float Harder want to thank everyone who participated in this quarter’s Float for Philanthropy event. The Maine charity that won the raffle was the Cumberland County Food Security Council. This council implements strategies to end food insecurity. It prioritizes its food system initiatives beginning with putting the means of food production in the hands of people who need healthy food most. The work of the CCFSC focuses not only on local food access but racial and economic justice and child nutrition. To learn more about their initiatives and make donations please visit their website.
